Gold ingot 100 g
Switzerland is the world’s leading gold refining centre: its refineries, such as Metalor, Argor-Heraeus and Valcambi, process a large share of the gold mined worldwide every year. This 100 g fine gold bar is made in Switzerland and bears its engraved weight and the mark “Fine gold 999.9”. It is delivered sealed in its original plastic pouch, with a certificate of authenticity.
Unlike most gold coins, a fine gold bar is not alloyed with another metal: its fineness of 999.9/1000 (24 karat) means that virtually its entire weight is pure gold. The stated weight, 100 g, therefore corresponds directly to the amount of fine gold you are buying.
The price of a bar follows the gold price and the amount of pure gold it contains. The heavier the bar, the lower the manufacturing premium per gram: the 100 g format therefore offers a better price per gram than small bars and is well suited to building a store of value.
